About me
Simon Poole is Vice President of Stable Value Products for Empower Investments. In his role, he is responsible for the management and development of Empower’s stable value business lines.
Simon joined Empower in 2024.
Prior to joining the organization, he built, developed, and led a stable value actuarial team at MassMutual. Under his leadership, the team was responsible for product development, product management, and general risk management for both institutional (“wrap”) and “advisor-sold” businesses. The team earned an impressive track record of developing strong internal and external relationships to grow and manage competitive stable value products that deliver long-term company and customer value.
Simon also worked for Standard Insurance Company as an Assistant Actuary in stable value product development and management. He also held roles at Regence in Portland, Oregon, as well as MetLife in London, UK.
Simon holds a degree in mathematics from Churchill College, University of Cambridge, in the UK, where he was a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. He is a current member of the American Association of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
